This is a new stainless steel strip production technology that can obtain nearly 2R enhanced surface quality, and can maintain the same production capacity and production cost as the traditional annealing pickling line. In addition, it can also reduce the impact of chemical pickling process on the environment. Compared with the traditional annealing pickling line, the new process can significantly reduce the oxidation of stainless steel plates and strips in the annealing section, so the chemical pickling treatment can also be canceled or reduced, so as to obtain better surface quality, save the cost of pickling treatment and reduce the amount of waste liquid to be neutralized. The formation of oxide layer on the surface of stainless steel plate is controlled through special heat treatment cycle of strip steel and the amount of oxidation in the annealing atmosphere of each process step (heating and cooling section), especially in the high temperature process section.

The key step of this processing process is to control the rapid heating section under oxidation atmosphere, the formation of oxide crystal nucleus and a thin oxide film, and then the annealing section to obtain the required mechanical properties, grain size, carbon melting, etc. This process is carried out under non-oxidation atmosphere, which can limit the formation of oxide layer. In the cooling section of non-oxidizing atmosphere, the cooling rate can prevent carbide precipitation.

The main advantages of the new processing technology are that the production capacity is the same as that of the traditional annealing and pickling line, the production flexibility is high, the equipment investment and management cost are significantly saved, the environmental pollution is reduced and the waste treatment cost is reduced, and the product surface quality is also good. Moreover, this technology is suitable for both new plants and existing plant reconstruction.
