What Problems Should Be Paid Attention To When Processing Drilled Wear-resistant Steel Plates

Sep 13, 2022

Some wear-resistant steel plates require drilling. What problems should be paid attention to when drilling? The following is the relevant information we provide you for your reference:

1) Select the appropriate style. In order to reduce the volume of the sound enclosure and the radiation area of the noise, its style should be similar to the appearance of the sound source assembly, and the sound enclosure wall should be as close as possible to the enclosure of the sound source device; however, we should also consider satisfying the convenience of inspection and monitoring , requirements for good ventilation, intake and exhaust and their mufflers. In addition, the curved shape should have greater stiffness, which is good for sound insulation. Square parallel enclosures should rarely be used to prevent standing wave effects of atmospheric sound within enclosures so that sound insulation can be found at a lower level.

2) The wall material of the acoustic enclosure should have sufficient transmission loss LTL. Wall coverings can accept lead, steel and aluminum. Thin-walled, high-density plates generally accept 2-3mm steel plates. What problems should be paid attention to when processing drilled wear-resistant steel plates

3) The metal plate surface is reinforced or coated with a damping layer. Experience reinforcing or applying damping layers to dampen and avoid resonance and coincidence effects of lightweight layout cladding walls such as steel plates, and reduce sound wave radiation. The thickness of the damping layer should not be less than 2 to 4 times the thickness of the cover wall, and must be carefully pasted firmly.

4) The interior and exterior of the sound enclosure should have better sound absorption. The sound insulation cover is usually treated with 50mm thick porous sound absorption material, and the sound absorption coefficient should not be less than 0.5. The composition of the basic components of the sound insulation cover is shown in Figure 10-8. It is firmly coated with a layer of 7mm-thick bituminous asbestos wool as a damping layer on a 3mm-thick steel plate, lined with 50mm-thick ultra-fine glass wool (bulk density 25kg/m3) as a sound-absorbing layer, and the glass wool cover consists of a layer of glass cloth and A layer of perforated steel plates with a perforation rate of 25%. The balanced transmission loss of this component is between 34 and 45dB.

5) Vibration isolation measures. There is no rigid continuity between the sound enclosure and the machine. Typically, rubber or felt and other flexible parts are continuously sandwiched between them to absorb vibrations, otherwise mechanical vibrations will simply be transmitted to the cover, making the cover a noise radiating surface, reducing sound insulation. Vibration isolation is also required between the machine and the base and between the sound enclosure and the machine base.
