There are usually two production methods for stainless steel plate, one is cold rolling production method, and the other is hot rolling production method.

Cold rolling production method:

Cold rolling is a processing process conducted at room temperature, suitable for producing stainless steel medium plates with high accuracy and high surface quality. In this method, the stainless steel master coil is fed into a steel coil cutter, cut to the desired size, and then processed through a cold rolling mill. In this process, the steel plate is subjected to multiple cold rolling operations through multiple rollers under pressure, ultimately forming the required stainless steel medium plate. Cold rolling is particularly important for controlling the crystal size of stainless steel. If too much machining is done during this process, the mechanical properties of stainless steel may be reduced.

Hot rolling production method:

Hot rolling is a processing process conducted through high-temperature processing, suitable for producing stainless steel medium plates with a thickness greater than 4mm. In this process, the stainless steel master coil is sent to a heating furnace for preheating, and then sent to a rolling mill for processing. The rolling mill has multiple rollers that press the hot steel plate into the required stainless steel medium plate. During hot rolling, the crystal size of stainless steel can be controlled due to high temperatures. Hot rolling can also increase the mechanical properties of stainless steel.

The above is the basic situation of two production methods for stainless steel medium plates. These methods have many parameters and equipment, and require careful adjustment and control in actual production to produce qualified stainless steel medium plates.
