The Wide Use of 40cr Steel Plate:
40cr steel plates refer to steel plates with an alloy content lower than 3.5%. Generally speaking, the 40cr steel plate in the market is Q345B plate. It can be said that it is a material and type of 40cr steel plate, which also plays a huge role in such materials. Its uses are extremely wide, almost involving many applications.
1) High strength: Generally, its yield strength is above 300MPa;
(2) High toughness: requires an elongation rate of 15% to 20%, and a room temperature impact toughness greater than 600kJ/m to 800kJ/m. For large welded components, high fracture toughness is also required;
(3) Good welding performance and cold forming performance;
(4) Low cold brittle transition temperature;
(5) Good corrosion resistance.
